What better way to spend time with a loved one than strolling through a beautiful art exhibit? The Paseo Arts and Creativity Center is featuring three new exhibitions for visitors this February: The Art of Wandering by Greg Stone, The PAA Member’s Show juried by Clint Stone, and The Trees and Me by SJ Barrymore.
Following the First Friday Art Walk on February 7th, all three exhibits are open to the public until February 22nd, 2025.
Gallery I: The Art of Wandering by Greg Stone
Gallery I features serene pastel landscapes painted by Tulsa Artist Greg Stone. The artworks invite guests to reflect on the sublime to be found in the small, still moments of nature. From lush and verdant illustrations of springtime to frosty depictions of winter and early spring, Stone’s paintings immerse the visitor and allow them to observe tranquil forests, prairies, and bodies of water.

Shadows in the Sangre de Cristo by Greg Stone
With the absence of human or animal figures, the pieces simulate a private environment of reflection for the visitor. Stone is a big proprietor of slowing down and enjoying the small moments in the natural world. Come by Gallery I to enjoy the peaceful pastel scenes of Greg Stone’s landscapes!
Gallery II: The PAA Member’s Show
We by Marylin Artus, Gallery II, PAA Members’ Show
The PAA Member’s Show is a delightfully vibrant and eclectic exhibition located in Gallery II. The artwork ranges from traditional landscapes and oil paintings to abstract works, clothing, sculptures and mixed media. Each piece stands out as a testament to the artist's unique style and identity. Spotlighting work from 40 local artists who are also members of the PAA, the second gallery represents a talented collective dedicated to fostering community in the arts.

The show’s juror is Clint Stone, who is the founder of Clint Stone Creative Projects.
Stone has worked with the Philbrook Museum, the Science Museum Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Contemporary, and other arts organizations. Currently, he focuses on his own artwork along with project and exhibition management.
Gallery III: The Trees and Me by SJ Barrymore
Gallery III hosts a collection of photographs taken of Will Rogers Park and Gardens by SJ Barrymore. This project marks his return to photography after a fifteen year hiatus. He captures the transformative beauty of the park as the seasons change and alter the natural elements of it. Barrymore’s pictures are high-spirited; no matter the time of year that Will Rogers Park is photographed in, sunlight gleams down on the dense grasses through the speckled filter of the trees’ canopies. The photographer plays with shadow, light and perspective in these works to visually communicate his own connection to the park.
