Sam Echols: Over the Years is the body of work by Oklahoma artist, Sam Echols. Echols began his painting career in 1980 while he was a student at the Arts Students League in New York City. During that time, he was under the mentorship of Richard and Edith Goetz. When he moved back to Oklahoma City in the 1990s, he began his career professionally with over 30 years of experience. This show highlights the subjects Echols featured in his artwork throughout his career, including landscape, still life, and tasteful nudes. Echols has created thousands of portraits of people in the community during his years as an artist in the Paseo Arts District.
