This workshop will be taught by local artist and expert Trent Lawson, Chief Preparator at the OKC Museum of Art. Attendees will learn how to properly mat, frame and install hardware on artwork for exhibitions and learn best practices for shipping both 2D and 3D artwork.

Trent Lawson is an artist and Chief Preparator of the Oklahoma City Museum of Art with 11 years of experience in exhibit and art preparation and shipping. Trent has several years of experience teaching ASK: Exhibition Ready workshops at OVAC.

About the Robbie Kienzle Artist Workshop Series:

The Paseo Arts Association is excited to announce the continuation of the 2022 workshop series teaching professional development to artists; now renamed by the PAA Board to honor the life and passion for artistic empowerment of the late Robbie Kienzle. The Robbie Kienzle Artist Workshop Series will begin this July 15 and will continue through December with multiple workshops on hot topics that are vital for all artists' professional practices.

Focuses range from marketing and social media, artist statements and resumes, photographing artwork, applications and finances to exhibit preparation and shipping. All courses are taught by local artists, experts and educators with experience in each focus area.

The Paseo Arts Association is excited to offer all of the workshops in this series, free to participants!
