David Gipson is a local artist and owner of Gipson Design + Build Company in Oklahoma City. A native Oklahoman and a graduate from Oklahoma City University with a bachelor’s degree in art, he studied with artists Brunel Ferris and Cheryl Cozad of OCU during his time at the university. Gipson has been a practicing artist for over 30 years, exhibiting in Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Dallas.

This body of work uses multi-media tools to create portraits and environments of contemporary thinking. Diverse art making materials such as encaustic wax, oil paint, watercolors and charcoal sketches are evident in the work.
