Join us for a wonderful talk by Mattie Barlow, the juror of the 2024 March Show, themed Storytellers.

Mattie Barlow is an historian, archivist, and emerging curator. A graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma, her research and writing focused on contemporary visual culture with global perspectives. She started curating exhibits and volunteering for local arts organizations while in college. Her most recent art exhibitions include Reflection Symmetry, A Sense of Place, and Quality of Light, all featured in the Tulsa World | Lorton Family Gallery at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame | Gaylord-Pickens Museum in Oklahoma City. In her role at the museum as Manager of Archives & Curatorial Projects, she oversees curating and planning of history and art exhibits, with the art gallery exclusively featuring Oklahoma artists. Mattie believes art provides audiences with a different approach for learning about history and community. She is passionate about amplifying underrepresented voices and providing opportunity for emerging artists.
