The Small Art Show is an annual juried exhibition hosted by the Paseo Arts Association taking place in the Paseo Arts & Creativity Center during the month of November & December! Open to small, original work of all mediums perfect for the beginning collector. This year's juror is Erin Latham! This call for entries is open to original two and three-dimensional work in all visual mediums (acrylic, oil, photography, sculpture, etc.) Work must be no larger than 15” in any direction and priced between $25 and $199.
ABOUT THE JUROR
Erin Latham is an artistic researcher, Master Printmaker, installation artist, Artist Philosopher, Arts Educator, and Author from Oklahoma City. She received her Doctorate degree in Philosophy from the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts and her Master of Fine Art from the Pratt Institute. As a Professional Artist her work takes her down many different avenues. She is the founder of Eelpress Printshop, the Manager of Current Co-op LLC, an artist-run cooperative studio space and is a co-founder of “Rock Paper Scissors Collaborative” an installation based collaborative artmaking team. She is also a co-founding artist of the former Factory Obscura artist collective, where she co-led teams of artists to build large scale art installations.
As the Artistic Director of You Artistry Collaborative a non-profit art organization, she engages in connecting artists across the world in creating community-driven collaborative projects. She has been a Teaching Artist in the State of Oklahoma for over 12 years and worked in both the K-12 system through non-profit arts organizations including the Arts Council of Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Oklahoma Contemporary, and the Edmond Fine Arts Institute as well as in the collegiate level in several Oklahoma Universities.
She has exhibited bodies of work in many spaces across the US and has received multiple grants from organizations to facilitate the creation of new artwork and collaborative projects. Her work explores the world around her-the environment she exists within-both ecological and social-through an interplay of materials and processes, that are based in community engagement and connectivity to nature.
